Joining and Using an eCommunity
- Go to www.elearning.kctcs.edu. That's a log in page for
Blackboard.
- Then just log in like you would to your regular KCTCS e-mail.
- This will take you to a screen where there will be yellow
tabs across the top of the screen. Click on the one that says
eCommunities.
- In the box on the far left that says Organizational Search,
type in the name of the group.
- If you are reading To Kill a Mockingbird, your
group will be called WKCTC To Kill a Mockingbird.
- If you are reading The Kite Runner, your group
will be called, WKCTC The Kite Runner.
- If you are reading The Faith Club, your group will
be called WKCTC The Faith Club.
- If you are reading The Girl with the Tangerine Scarf,
your group will be called WKCTC The Girl with the Tangerine
Scarf.
Search for it, and when that
organization (and description) pops up, find a small rectangular
box on the far right and click ENROLL. You will submit
your enrollment by clicking on submit at the bottom of the next
screen, and then you are in the group. You should automatically
be taken to the site, and on the left side of the screen you
will see a menu. If you click on "Discussion Board"
you will be able to enter the discussion.
After you have enrolled in
the group, you can return at any time by simply returning to
the www.elearning.kctcs.edu
site and logging in and then selecting the eCommunity tab.
